Arezzo, Italy—The Italian Exhibition Group has made the decision to postpone its Oroarezzo jewelry trade show to next year. The event was slated for June 12-15 at the Expo Centre in Arezzo, Italy, but has now been pushed back to 2022, according to a press release from IEG. Organizers said that though the Italian trade show system “can finally count on a recovery road map for its activities,” conditions won’t be stable enough on an international level by June to allow for the necessary travel to the event. It added that in view of the current situation, it’s unlikely major buyers from the Middle East, U.S., Asia and other strategic markets would be able to attend. Oroarezzo, dedicated to Italian goldsmithing, will return to its physical format in 2022; new dates will be announced in the future. In the meantime, its community will continue to rely on digital events to stay connected, like the recent “We Are Jewellery” interactive fashion show and business-to-business trade event. Meanwhile, IEG is still planning on holding its T.Gold and Vincezaoro shows—the former for machinery and other technology, while the latter includes the entire supply chain—Sept. 10-14 in Vicenza, and its
VO Vintage, for vintage jewelry and watches, from Sept. 11-13.
