Christie’s: 6.75-Carat Pink Diamond Could Rake In $11 Million

The gem is described as heart modified brilliant-cut, fancy-vivid-purple-pink

At its upcoming live Magnificent Jewels Auction in Geneva on November 9, 2021, Christie’s will be offering a 6.75-ct pink diamond ring with a high estimate of $10.9 million, IDEX Online reports. The gem is described as heart modified brilliant-cut, fancy-vivid-purple-pink, SI1-clarity.

The 112 diamonds are set as a historic pair of bracelets, estimated at $2,000,000 to $4,000,000. The bracelets were bought in 1776, when Marie Antoinette had been Queen of France for two years – for 250,000 livres. According to Christie’s, “these extraordinary bracelets are the only example to include diamonds belonging to her […]”.

The 77-lot sale will also include a ruby and diamond bracelet presented by Britain’s King Edward VII to the American socialite Wallis Simpson (estimated at $1.1-$2.2 million); a 55.50 carat diamond, potentially internally flawless and with the optical excellence of an 18th century Golconda gem (estimated at $4.35-$5.45 million); and the “African Sunflower” – a fancy-vivid-yellow 42.98-carat VS1 clarity diamond (estimated at $2.2-$4.35 million).
